Seeking a new manufacturing hub for commercial production of its CGM systems in Europe, Dexcom chose Athenry near Galway in Ireland in late 2022, and construction began less than two years later in January 2024.Dexcom Factory 4 (F4) is a state-of-the-art 180,000-square-foot facility, situated on an 80-acre campus. When operational, the units produced will support Dexcom in meeting the growing demand for CGM systems across Europe. The facility is on track to open in 2026.
Rapid ramp-up in Ireland
Dexcom Ireland has already welcomed over 100 new team members in 2025 alone, with plans to reach 170 by the end of the year. These hires span engineering, quality, EHSS, supply chain, and more, with close to 50% of recruits holding advanced degrees.
