Thursday, 16th September 2021 – Tánaiste & Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Leo Varadkar TD and IDA Ireland today welcomed the announcement by Stripe that it is to add hundreds of new engineering jobs in Ireland over the next three years, supported by the Irish Government through IDA Ireland.

Tánaiste and Minister for Enterprise, Trade and Employment Leo Varadkar TD said “I’m really pleased to hear more positive news from Stripe, following on from the company’s announcement of 1,000 new roles in March. Patrick and John are a truly remarkable Irish success story and have grown Stripe into a world leading technology company. This project which is supported by the Government will add hundreds of highly skilled engineering jobs over the next three years, and I wish the team every success.”

Martin Shanahan, CEO, IDA Ireland said “Stripe is a leader in its industry and growing rapidly at scale with clear ambitions for continued expansion. The opportunity to pioneer new approaches to global money movement right here in Ireland will have a lasting and positive impact at home and abroad."

"The growth of Stripe's Dublin Engineering Hub will serve to further embed Ireland as a recognised global software leader, and the hundreds of new jobs being created will make a significant contribution to the national economy. I wish John and Patrick and the team at Stripe continued success as they continue to grow their business here.”
