The company is currently looking to recruit up to 30 skilled positions before the end of this year.

The latest jobs being created by SQS Ireland are high end specialist roles encompassing software quality engineers, software testing managers, business analysts, performance engineers and software test analysts. Established in Ireland since 2002, SQS has enjoyed impressive year-on-year organic growth directly servicing the Irish market, with an average growth rate in employment numbers of 20 per cent.

Coinciding  with this latest jobs announcement, SQS Ireland has moved to new expanded  4,000 sq ft modern office facilities in Dublin’s emerging technology hub in the ‘Docklands’ area of the city. The new offices have a state of the art training centre, IP-based high-speed communications facilities and fit-for-purpose customer hosting services.

Speaking in advance of the official office opening event at which he will be attending as special guest of honour, An Taoiseach, Enda Kenny, T.D. said: "The expansion of SQS with the creation of 75 jobs is a most welcome development and another encouraging sign of the ongoing rise of Dublin's Digital Docklands.  The growth of SQS is an example of how the IT and digital sector can play an important role in job creation and, through the Action Plan for Jobs, the Government is determined to continue creating the conditions to support the growth of the digital economy.  I would like to commend the company for the contribution it is making through its graduate programme and its work in building links with Irish third level colleges."

Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD said:
“ICT is a key sector targeted in the Government’s plans for jobs and growth, and over recent years we have seen substantial growth in this area and 3,000 jobs now being created every month across the private sector. Today’s announcement that SQS, a world-leading company in this sector, is creating an additional 75 jobs in Ireland is very welcome. I wish them every continued success, and pledge that through continued implementation of the Action Plan for Jobs we will aim to deliver further announcements like this over the coming months”.

Commenting on behalf of the company, Dik Vos, CEO of SQS Group said: “Our continued expansion in Ireland is a strong reflection of the growth of the IT industry and the increasingly important role that independent software testing and quality control plays in the successful rollout and ongoing operations of IT systems.  As we all know, so many of these IT systems have now become almost mission critical to our business and everyday lives.

“We are delighted to be in a position today to announce our commitment to meeting such ambitious recruitment plans, both in the immediate and longer term 3 year timeframe.  There is no doubt that recruitment of such specialist roles remains a challenge.  However working closely with Ireland’s third level colleges and initiatives such as the SQS Graduate In-Take Programme, have proved very successful and will remain a key part of our recruitment strategy, providing valuable training and investment in developing key skillsets to support businesses in the Irish economy to the required SQS quality standards.”

Welcoming today’s news by SQS, Barry O’Leary, CEO at IDA Ireland, said: “SQS is a world leading specialist in software quality and an excellent addition to the thriving technology sector in Ireland.  This expansion, to support SQS’s continuing strong business growth, will provide excellent career opportunities for talented technology professionals and graduates.  IDA Ireland wishes SQS continued success and looks forward to working closely with the company in the future.”

In Ireland, SQS is meeting the increasing demand for independent outsourced IT testing services.  Its customers operate across the main vertical sectors including Financial Services, Manufacturing, Utilities, Retail and Telco.
