Brisbane, Australia – November 21, 2014 Minister for Diaspora Affairs, Jimmy Deenihan TD today announced that Phenix Jewellery, an insurance claims validation and fulfilment provider, has chosen Ireland as a base for the company’s European HQ.

“Our International Strategy has been 4 years in the making.  We considered a number of countries, Canada being one, to base our International HQ from. Ireland, not only presented itself with a depth of workforce talent, gateway access to Europe, but importantly has an extremely high standard of jewellery being hallmarked & produced local,” said Leanne Kemp, Director of International and Strategy of Phenix. The Insurance Industry is undergoing a metamorphosis, with the scale of innovation taking place simply breathtaking. We actively sought about finding a country that had a thriving fintech scene. Ireland is experiencing an entrepreneurial renaissance in Insurance and we are poised to take advantage of all that the country and the timing of the market has to offer. The decision to locate in Galway was influenced principally by the availability of skilled labour, including multilingual skills, in the area as well as the quality graduate output from the local Universities and Institutes of Technology.”
