The new jobs are to be created by:

  • DITA Inc, global leader in optical designs, is expanding its EMEA Headquarters and distribution centre in Dublin, with the creation of 10 new positions bringing its workforce to a total of 30.
  • Zendesk, a leading provider of web-based customer support software, is to establish its Finance and Development Centre in Dublin, with the creation of 30 jobs over the next 2 years.

Making the announcement, Minister Bruton said, “Central to this Government’s plan for jobs and growth is developing and deepening the impact of multinational companies located in Ireland. Targeting high-growth emerging companies is a key part of this, as these companies will establish deep roots here from early in their growth and make a substantial impact on our economy. There is also of course the possibility that one of these companies will turn into a world-leading company of the future.

Today’s announcement that 5 high-growth emerging companies are locating operations here, with the creation of 122 jobs is great news for Ireland. We in Government are determined to build on this to ensure that we can continue to see the flow of multinational investment to Ireland and help create the growth and jobs we need”.

Welcoming the announcement, Barry O’Leary, CEO of IDA Ireland said, “This week will see a huge number of executives from emerging companies visiting Ireland for the F.ounders conference – we will be working with these executives to encourage them to use Ireland as a base to expand their businesses.”

                     KeyedIn Solutions to establish Software Development Centre in Letterkenny

Donegal, with the creation of 20 highly skilled jobs.

In the plans announced today, KeyedIn is to establish a Software Research and Development Centre in Letterkenny to serve the Global market. The company will initially create 20 highly skilled software development jobs over the next three years, with additional plans for further investment over the coming months.

Dublin, October 16, 2012 -Minister for Jobs, Enterprise and Innovation, Richard Bruton TD, today announced that Dita Inc is establishing its EMEA Headquarters and distribution centre in Dublin with the creation of 20 jobs within the past year and an anticipated 10 new employees within the next two years.

Dita Eyewear Ltd will have responsibility for all sales, marketing and procurement of finished goods along with warehousing, quality control, customer service, fulfillment, accounting and EU human resources.  All European sales functions will also report to Dita Ireland.  The company currently distributes its products to over 500 active accounts in Europe, mainly throughout France, Italy, the UK, Germany and the Netherlands as well as Eastern Europe, Middle East, Asia, Canada and Australia.

             Zendesk to Establish Development Centre in Dublin, with the Creation of 30 jobs

Dublin, October 16, 2012 – Zendesk, the proven cloud-based customer service software provider, today announced the establishment of a new software development center based in Dublin, with the creation of 30 highly skilled jobs.
