Press Release 23 Apr 2012 Five European high growth companies, Culture Translate, Diaceutics, Nimble Apps, iMosphere and Unique Digital, are to establish operations in Ireland, becoming part of the growing cluster of dynamic high-growth companies that have been attracted here, reinforcing Ireland’s reputation as a hub for emerging businesses. The companies today announced a combined 77 jobs in Limerick, Dundalk and Dublin. Today’s announcements come as part of IDA Ireland’s Expand & Internationalise your business through Ireland event in Berlin, taking place on Wednesday 25th April, which will be attended by some of the leading emerging companies in Europe, showcasing Ireland as the location of choice for high-growth companies seeking to establish an international base. Making the announcement, Minister Bruton said:“A key part of the Government’s plan for jobs and growth is ensuring that we deepen and develop the impact of multinational investment here. We have a base of multinational companies here that is the envy of the world, but if we are to create the numbers of jobs we need we must build on this and attract a new cohort of companies which we haven’t reached before. “Today’s announcement that five high-growth early-stage European companies are locating operations in Ireland with the creation of 77 jobs is great news. These are companies that might be relatively small now, but have the potential to grow exponentially and create large numbers of jobs here. Through continued implementation of the Action Plan for Jobs I am determined to ensure that we attract a wider spread of multinational companies and help get Ireland back to work”. The importance of companies internationalising at an early stage has never been greater and Ireland provides the perfect environment in which to do this. Ireland has built a strong reputation as an international hub for a variety of business sectors and hosts the top ten born on the internet companies including Twitter, Google, eBay/PayPal and Facebook. Ireland’s talent pool, established strong track record in attracting FDI, and generous tax credits for research and development activities has lead to a large number of companies choosing Ireland as the location from which to internationalise their business. The experience of new businesses locating operations in Ireland has been of quick execution and speed to market. Ireland’s established technology sector, the presence of key players and the availability of a highly skilled dynamic workforce, make it the obvious choice for innovative, proactive and fast expanding companies with ambitious plans.
