GE Healthcare announced details of a $10 million investment at its manufacturing facility in Carrigtwohill, Co Cork. The $10 million will be invested in a new production suite that will see the site’s manufacturing capacity increase by over 50 per cent.

Welcoming the GE Healthcares investment, IDA Ireland CEO, Barry O’Leary said, “I am delighted with GE Healthcare’s decision to locate their new production suite at its Cork operation, this investment further embeds their presence in Ireland. The involvement of GE in the Cork plant since 2004 has been very beneficial for local area and its very welcome to see the commitment by GE to Cork being extended even further’’.
