With An Taoiseach Enda Kenny TD, IDA hosted an event last night for over 50 senior level executives in some of the largest companies across the globe.

“Participation at Davos increases Ireland’s profile internationally and places the country on a world stage. Our event was very well-attended - we get access to senior decision-makers here."

“IDA Ireland and An Taoiseach's delegation has had approximately 20 meetings with existing client companies to discuss new opportunities within their Irish operations. We have also been discussing  the advantages of doing business here with potential clients."

"IDA is also doing interviews and briefings with international media to promote Ireland as a place for business given the concentration of international business media that are here."

"The theme of Davos - the fourth industrial revolution - fits very well with Ireland's offering to overseas investors.  Ireland is a hub for high value, highly regulated, zero defect manufacturing with a strong technology cluster and skills base making this country a compelling location for FDI," concluded Mr Shanahan.
