Dublin, Barry O’Leary, IDA CEO today (Friday May 21st 2010) welcomed the announcement by SAP/Business Objects, the world’s leading provider of business software, to commence recruitment of 75 staff in Dublin.
Recruitment of the positions is to begin immediately. Some of the 75 jobs will be in functions that are new to SAP in Ireland including the building out of the company’s Telesales eCentre and in technical support functions.
Commenting on the announcement, IDA CEO Barry O’Leary said, ‘SAP/Business Objects is a key player in Ireland’s ICT sector and the commencement of recruitment of an additional 75 positions is welcome news. SAP has a reputation as a growth and innovation-led company and since setting up its first operation in Ireland has repeatedly upgraded its mandate here.’
‘Current activities in Ireland include the provision of Services and Support for its customer base in EMEA and the US and a software development lab in Dublin which develops next generation business analytics software. Today’s commencement of recruitment marks a significant milestone for SAP/Business Objects as it will see its employment figures rise to over 1,000.
