Dublin, Ireland - March 22, 2010 – IDA Ireland today welcomed the announcement by LinkedIn, the world’s largest professional network with more than 60 million members globally, that it is opening its new international headquarters in Dublin, Ireland.
LinkedIn plans to hire for several positions in its new Dublin office including positions in marketing, sales, finance and customer service. Details of current openings can be found on the LinkedIn Website
Welcoming the announcement IDA Ireland CEO, Barry O’Leary, said: “Ireland has always been attractive to innovative global leaders and I’m delighted that a leading business social networking site, such as LinkedIn, has chosen Ireland as its international headquarters. This is an endorsement that Ireland can satisfy the needs of highly innovative and technologically advanced companies as they make critical investments. It demonstrates the advantages Ireland continues to offer global multinational companies and fits neatly with the type of service innovation investment identified by IDA in its recently published strategy Horizon 2020”.
LinkedIn’s offices in Mountain View, California will continue to serve as corporate headquarters with Dublin as the centre for international growth.

LinkedIn was launched in 2003 and has its Corporate Headquarters in Mountain View, California. The London office opened in January 2008 and the Dutch office in Amsterdam last January. LinkedIn also has offices in Mumbai, India and Sydney, Australia. LinkedIn’s Mountain View offices will continue to be the centre for product development.
LinkedIn currently has 14m members in Europe, 3m members in the UK, well over 1m in the Netherlands and a growing member base in Ireland.
