IDA Win Leads to Irish Hosting Deal

Servecentric, the data centre managed services company has won a three year managed hosting deal with CDiscount, a European leader in online retail.

CDiscount is the online trading division of Group Casino of France, one of the world's largest retailers with 10,000 stores worldwide and €28.7 billion in annual revenues. Their websites carry a range of over 80,000 products from IT, household appliances to clothing and sports equipment and includes some of the world's biggest brands which, the company claims, are heavily discounted.

To facilitate its European expansion into the UK and Ireland, supported by the IDA, CDiscount made the decision to open its regional headquarters for the UK and Ireland in Dundalk, Co. Louth and to ensure the security and availability of its IT systems and websites at all times, CDiscount also elected to locate its IT infrastructure into an Irish data centre facility.

Servecentric, headquartered in Blanchardstown Corporate Park in Dublin, was selected based on its blue chip clients, its managed hosting capability and security record. It is to provide a managed hosting infrastructure, direct access to global networks and 24x7 technical support to ensure constant uptime. Additionally, Servecentric is hosting the CDiscount UK and the soon to be launched Irish websites.
