IDA Ireland - Best National Investment Promotion Agency in Western Europe according to the 2008 Global Best to Invest Rankings from Site Selection

The Site Selection editors have announed the first annual Global Best to Invest rankings. Three prestigious data sources were mined to ascertain which national investment promotion agencies, regional and metro economic development agencies across five regions were most successful in attracting capital investment and creating jobs in 2008. 

The sources are Site Selection's own proprietary New Plant Database, Ernst & Young's European Investment Monitor powered by U.K.-based Oxford Intelligence (www.oxint.com) and Brussels-based IBM Plant Location International (www.ibm.com/bcs/pli), which maintains the GILD database of foreign direct investment (FDI) projects.

IDA Ireland has been ranked the Top National Investment Promotion Agency in Western Europe.
