  • International Manufacturer Aims to Create 65 Skilled Jobs in Ireland by 2020
    Patterson Pump Ireland today hosted an Open House event to launch its new manufacturing facility in the IDA Business Park, Marlinstown, Mullingar, where the company currently employs 37 people. Each day, the facility manufactures one cast iron pump, four metres in length, which may weigh between six to eight tonnes and requires a 40 foot container to transport. Today’s launch is the first landmark event in the company’s ambitious target to expand its workforce to 65 employees by 2020.

  • PPD Expands Clinical Supplies Facility in Athlone
    Pharmaceutical Product Development, LLC (PPD) has completed an expansion of its clinical supplies facility in Athlone, Ireland, that will enable the company to double its packaging warehousing capabilities and quadruple its distribution services. Those increases are the result of PPD more than tripling the size of the facility as part of its long-term strategy to expand its global depot network. The facility now features 20,000 square feet of space to support the company’s ability to store, package and label for the clinical trials PPD conducts for its clients.

    Teleflex Incorporated, a leading global provider of medical devices for critical care and surgery, has confirmed its intention to create more than 100 high-skilled positions over the next three years at its Athlone, Ireland office.
