Aon has been present in Ireland since 1920 dealing in retail brokerage. In 2008, Aon announced its intention to establish a Global Centre for Excellence in Dublin. The R&D project, described as an ‘industry first’, will drive key business initiatives central to Aon’s global corporate strategy.
